The chemical formula of mineral Bearsite is inidcated by Be2(AsO4)(OH)•4(H2O). This mineral is usually found at the oxidation zone of a polymetallic deposit. Bearsite is most commonly found at its type of locality at Kazakhstan. Mineral Bearsite was named for the composition (Be, Arsenic). Bearsite is known to crystallize in the monoclinic system of crystal formation. In optical mineralogy, the monoclinic system of crystal formation comprises crystals having three axes of unequal lengths. Two of which are usually found in a position that is oblique or not perpendicular to one another. However, both of which are commonly found perpendicular to the third axis.

Mineral Bearsite is most commonly found white in hand sample and is more ineresting when evaluated under polarized microscope for mineralogists. The specific gravity measure of mineral Bearsite is usually found ranging from 1.8 to 2 grams per cubic centimeters giving an average of 1.9. Most Bearsite crystals are found translucent in appearance.  The crystal habit of mineral Bearsite as described in the field of optical mineralogy usually include encrustations forming crust-like aggregates on matrix which can be seen more splendidly exhibited under polarizing micrscope used in the field of optical mineralogy. Sometimes it can be also found fibrous in form showing crystals made up of fibers. Bearsite is also commonly found leaving a white streak when rubbed on a white porcelain streak plate. Mineral Bearsite is usually found showing biaxial negative figure when evaluated closely between crossed nicols of polarizing microscope used in the field of optical mineralogy. Bearsite is also commonly found showing 0.0120 birefringence. Mineral Bearsite is found to be non-radioactive.
