The chemical formula of mineral Arsenopalladinite is indicated by Pd8(As,Sb)3. Mineral Arsenopalladinite is usually found at alluvial placers and ultra-basic intrusions. Arsenopalladinite is usually found at its type of locality at Itabira, Minas Gerias, Brazil. This mineral was named for its composition. Arsenopalladinite is known to crystallize in the triclinic system of crystal formation. In optical mineralogy, this triclinic crystal system commonly comprises crystals having three axes, of which all are unequal in length and are positioned oblique to one another.

 

            Mineral Arsenopalladinite is most commonly found silver white in hand sample. The specific gravity measure of the mineral is usually found 10.4 grams per cubic centimeters. Most crystals of mineral Arsenopalladinite are found opaque in appearance. The crystal habit of the mineral as described in the field of optical mineralogy usually includes anhedral grains showing granular minerals without the expression of crystal shapes. It can be also found in nuggets form showing irregular lumps produced by stream transport of malleable metals. The hardness measure of the mineral when it is evaluated using the Mohs scale method is usually found 4. It is also most commonly found exhibiting metallic luster when viewed in reflected light of polarizing microscope used in the field of optical mineralogy. Mineral Arsenopalladinite is usually found strongly anisotrophic, in red and golden brown to blue-gray in air and khaki-brown to blue gray in oil. The interference colors of mineral Arsenopalladinite is usually found white with yellowish creamy tint.  Arsenopalladinite is a non-radioactive mineral as evaluated.
